Business Story Of Sapna
Spana Bai is a 54 years aged widow , having 6 children among these 3 are unmarried to take care of. After the death of my husband due to the serious disease, she faced too many difficulties to carry my routine life and to arrange basic needs for her children. Sapna was sweating out by putting efforts in the agriculture lands and was less paid since women do more labor, yet not paid up to daily wages equal to men that also hindered the way to lead happy life. She hardly earns 1200 per Month which were not sufficient to fulfill her wish to educate her children and maintain a good living standard for her family.
2010 Takhleeq Foundation team visited my village Government Form UC Meer Imam Bux District Mirpurkhas for the implementation of CIIP (Community Infrastructure Improvement Project). Takhleeq Foundation Team selected Sapna as RMT as per criteria. Initially she faced resistance from her family and community but she did not discouraged.
She worked to maintain rural earthen roads and got trainings . After 2 years ending of this project she did not want to go again in the darkness of her poor life as before. So she have opened a small retail shop at the front door of her small house from the 1st Installment of Rs 11,300 from saving of Rs 25,920, that she availed from Takhleeq foundation. She have faced many hurdles regarding that Business, people of her Village misguided her that being a female she could not manage this Business but she decided to face any challenge regarding this. She has no experience of that earlier. In start, it’s difficult for her to go Market and purchase Items for her shop but with continues Support of Takhleeq Foundation Team now She is able to do this with no trouble. She is an illiterate lady with having problems of record keeping of her Business but with the assistance of Takhleeq foundation Team now she is improving this skill day by day.
Currently she is earning about Rs. 9000 per Month now her bigger achievement is that she have no fear for discontinue of her children’s Education due to her uncertain financial situation.
At this time With the support of Takhleeq Foundation Sapna’s plan is not only to develop the cost-effective circumstances of her family, but also empowered her by providing her a greater social status in the family and village comparatively in the past when the people of her family and village ignored her and did not include her in any kind of decision making and if she need money they refused her in that sense that she could not able to return their money.
She has transformed into an entrepreneurial woman who keeps thinking on business lines, constantly on the lookout to further enhance and expand her retail shop . She says that I am very much thank full to Takhleeq Foundation for gave me the courage to live a successful life.”
