Non Traditional Business Of Flour Mill

Rehmat, Sakeena, and Zehra and Matti of cluster 3 started flour mill from the initial amount of PKR 10,0000 in village Sanwan Khaskheli union council Dolat Leghari. They were very happy to start a non-traditional business to meet the growing demand of the people living in their area. Initially they started their business of flour mill, with weight machine and a generator. For the promotion of their business they went villages of the area and promoted their business through marketing in different villages. They were happy to earn profit from their business. The people of their area told that they would buy wheat for a year to grind from the city that cost 200 to 250 as a fare. Women also go to them to get their wheat ground. After the promotion of their business they installed the flour mill under a tree. To promote her business team leader Rehmat got the help of her son in getting the generator started. They get 2 to 3 kilo wheat against grinding of wheat at 2o kg. They earn daily PKR 1000 to 1200. They are very happy as each partner gets PKR 200 to 250, now they don’t have to work in the scorching heat. They feel very much comfortable to run their flour mill as well do the work of their home and give time to their family. They told that they are happy to start a non-traditional business in their area keeping in mind the feasibility of the business & growing demand of the people to meet their need.
From the 2nd saving installment they returned some of the remaining installments and purchased raw material to build a room to live in and keep things of variety to sell. Bazu BAI (RMT ) has started a grocery shop where she gets wheat from the people of the area in return she gives them things from her shop. She gets the wheat from them at low price, the wheat is ground and thus sold at profitable rate. They work as a team and has learnt the skills how to turn their business as profitable. They shared that they have learnt a lot from the project in particularly from the 3 trainings by participating. They are thankful to Takhleeq Foundation and the CIIP Team that provided them employment to maintain earthen roads and developed their skills. Today they feel empowered having a say in their communities. Being RMTs has raised their social & economic status in their communities.
